A teenage with outstanding musical talent. She suffers from the scars of her father, Warren a soldier in the Iraq war. She falls into deep despair due to the schemes of her classmate John. However, she regains hope through the story of Joseph presented to her by Heather and she realizes the meaning of God's covenant.

A biblical figure from the book of Genesis. Receiving a covenant dream from God when he is young, he faces many hardships from the envy and jealousy of his brothers. However, never losing hold of his faith concerning the covenant God has given him, he ultimately is able to enjoy the fulfillment of that covenant.

The new music teacher at Karyn's school. Easy-going and cheerful, she recognizes Karyn's musical talent and leads her on the path of the covenant. Never losing hope in Karyn even amidst unexpected crises, she continues to lead Karyn down the path of the covenant which Joseph and she herself traversed. She tastes the joyous fruits of her faith as she sees Karyn regain her hope.

Joseph's father. His love for his son, Joseph runs deeper than his love for his other sons. Upon hearing that Joseph has been killed by wild beasts, he falls into deep sadness. Yet even amidst despair and suffering, his faith concerning the dream God gave to Joseph remains firm. Ultimately, seeing his Joseph come back to him as governor of Egypt, he senses the fulfillment of God's covenant.

Karyn's father. A proud and strong soldier, he faces extreme despair and suffering when he becomes paralyzed from the waist down during the war in Iraq. Due to his suffering, he even scars his own daughter, Karyn. Moved by the devotion of Heather to him and her daughter, he comes to experience the covenant journey given to him and his daughter.
